This is an article which appeared in the loksatta newspaper. It's about a British artist James Wales,who was so fascinated by the buddhist caves and sculptors, that he came to India all the way, only to paint them in the 18th century. Unfortunately not much is known about him in the recent times.

Art society of India's annual art exhibition
The dates for the Art Society of India all India annual art competition and exhibitions are out.
The dates for submitting the artworks are 3rd, 4th and 5th January 2009, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bal Bhavan, churni road, Mumbai. The exhibition for the selected entries would be held at the jehangir art gallery from 21st Jan to 27th Jan.
Also the last date for the submissions for the Camel Art Foundation 12th Western Region art exhibition is 31st december.
So be prepared.
